"This past July, I had the opportunity to officiate at USYS Nationals in Murfreesboro, TN. Throughout the week, I had so much fun meeting and learning from high-level and experienced referees, national coaches, and professional referees from across the country.”

“I love to support newer referees the same way I was. I regularly work as a mentor in shadow games and assists as a more experienced referee with those starting at the travel level. Refereeing has definitely made me a more knowledgeable and stronger player in my own games.”

Aaryan began refereeing when he was 13 years old. He was drawn to referee because of his love for the game—and for fast food, which wouldn’t pay for itself! Refereeing seemed like a win-win.

Ellison began refereeing in 2023 after receiving an email about new referee recruitment. A lifelong soccer fan, she was curious about officiating and signed up to gain a new perspective on the game.
